Andrey Breslav is the creator of Kotlin — the programming language now used by over 7 million developers and adopted by Google as the primary standard for Android development. He was lead language designer and project lead at JetBrains from 2010 to 2020, shaping Kotlin through its 1.0 launch and early growth. He has since co-founded the mental-health platform Alter and is now founder of CodeSpeak, a tool that extracts durable plain-English specifications from AI coding sessions, making human intent — not generated code — the first-class artifact in software development.
